to pay them all off. I succeeded in getting them all paid off except for 1, which I’m still paying on. Now I want to get a new credit card for purposes of improving my credit (paying on time, etc.) Now that I’ve gone through credit counseling and a debt management program to reduce my debt, what is the best way to convince the major credit card companies to trust you again with a new card?

I just failed my chemistry exam today-I did not study because I felt sick. I have issues with time management. All I do except go to school is sleep. I have no motivation. I am on medication for depression, which means that I have depression.

I wish I can get good grades, have motivation, and do something with my life. I feel like a total failure. I give up on everything because I have no motivation for anything.

Has anybody noticed the Cardinals Pitching roster this year? They have a starter pulled out of rehab (Kip Wells) and 3 converted relievers as starters. Their only real top notch starters are on the DL (Carpenter and Mulder). The cardinals have won the Central Division 6 out of 7 years and for the last 10 years they have only had 1 losing seasons. Well looks like this year is gonna be a big loser. I say if they win 75 games it will be a miriacle. Remember when Florida won the series their first time? They got rid of a lot of players.
Does anybody actually read the question? Maybe I should restate the question. Why didn’t the mangement put more interest in finding better players. They got rid of 3 starting pitchers who are all doing better than any that we have now.

The IT director opened the department staff meeting today by saying “I’ve got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that management approved the payroll system project this morning. The new system will reduce clerical time and errors, improve morale in the payroll department, and avoid possible fines and penalties for noncompliance. The bad news is that the system must be installed by the end of December in order to meet new federal reporting rules, costs must be within the budgeted amount, the new system must interact with existing systems, and the vice president of finance insists on approving the final design.”

I’m quite successful executor in my field at the moment, but I’m dreaming about becoming a successful entrepreneur in the future.

I have improved my home budget skills, money saving and planning. I’ve tried to run a few businesses. Some of them failed. Some was alive, but it wasn’t very interesting to me because it looks like this wasn’t my type of business. It worked, but I didn’t like the actual idea.
This projects were more like a sandbox projects. Projects for the purpose of experience, not money.

What I decided to do to meet this goal:
* save good portion of income for future investment
* cut unnecessary money spending
* improve personal time management
* read lots of books on the theme of entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, management
* try to gain an experience in hiring and managing people – actually I have some mental blocks in the field, at the moment.

What do you think of my previous experience and my plan?
What would recommend from your point of view?

Please give me some advices, because I need it very much
Thanks, in advance

Hello everyone,

I am wondering whether you know of a good book or two that I can read. I am trying to become a better manager by improving my management skills and communication skills. I hope to become a strong leader someday. I have read quite a few self improvement books and don’t mind reading several more.

Thank you for your time.

School had started, and since last two years I got overwhelemed because my extremely poor time management and all that proscratination, this year I really want to turnover a new leaf. Unfortunately, I still lack some time-saving skills—-such as speed reading.

I just finished reading a 20-pages assignment just then, and it took me more than 2 hours. Yeah, my reading speed is extremely slow, I admit, and I read word-by-word in a snail pace. If I scan it quickly I am unable to take in the information.

So how to improve my reading speed AND reading efficiency (by efficiency I mean how much I can take in and understand the material during reading)? And, I know that reading conceptually is much better than reading just word-by-word—-but how exactly to read conceptually? I really need to save time since last two years had been absolutely HELLISH!

I am a student in grade 9 in the pre-IB program heading for the intense IB diploma program.
For the past 4 or 5 years, I’ve played rep soccer (not amazingly high level) and I was hoping to continue this. Until, last semester, I realized my work habits are pretty mediocre and I had to improve my time management.
Now this semester, I think I’m settling in finally, and I have a pretty good work habit and time management now. I live in Canada, and I am hoping to graduate with an IB diploma to try to get into an Ivy league school or American university towards the medical department. However, should I continue playing soccer in a high competitve level? I heard that in order to get into American universities, you must really stand out if you live in another country.
Should I continue playing soccer until gr 12, when it will be extremely difficult to try and manage both my studies and soccer?
