What has happened to respect? I find so little here.
Do you respect the person, even though they may beliefs you feel are quite in error?

Hard question to ask as there has to be something that we are measuring each with I guess. But let’s say with respect to each other.
Do I make any sense?

I respect Jehovah’s Witnesses for dieing in the Concentration Camps even though they don’t even believe in Hell.
I respect studied Atheists for thinking things through.

I am coaching 5th grade boys with my father and some players are difficult to manage when they don’t listen to me. I have been in several leadership positions before and I am currently the captain of my own basketball team. It’s hard to get a group of young boys to respect me as a coach and basketball player.
Do you think they will adjust over time, or do I need to take a more direct approach?

There appears to be 2 sides on here in reguards to this question.
I have always felt that respect comes from training and building a bond with your horse that way.
Then you have the other ones that believe you go out there with a bucket of treats, pet them, kiss them and build respect and trust that way.
How do you accomplish this and how many horses have you honestly owned (living breathing ones).
