If so, what for and how?

As a matter of fact our kids have been very well behaved – I’m quite happy. They’re not acting up at all.
The most I’ve had to do is remind them to help clean up after themselves.

Holidays do not make an exception for misbehaving. you should not treat your children any differently on a Holiday than you would any other day.
If you do – your children will catch on and play you for it. Children are very smart and most people underestimate them :) If you trea them diff. on a holiday by allowing them to get way with things you usually would not – they will remember that and the holidays may get worse each year as they will continue to test you.
If you usually give them a time out – do the same thing. Family and friends will not look down on you – in fact they may hold a high respect for you and your parenting skills. Now I would not go yelling or what ever – but simple authority that is accepted today will be best :)

no my kids really don’t misbehave so discipline is really rare. Don’t get me wrong I have no Angels or anything and when discipline is needed then it’s given but I feel blessed with them. I pray they come out better then I did. LOL

My children were up very early Christmas morning because they were so excited. As a result, they became tired and irritable by mid afternoon and needed to be spoken to about arguing and getting frustrated with new toys.

Yes, unfortunately. My son kept saying he wanted more gifts and that we needed to go out and get them so I sent him to his room for the rest of the night.

I’m pretty sure that I tried to teach them all kinds of things throughout the holiday season so far. They’re kids – they have a lot to learn.

Nope. They are well behaved and grateful for anything they receive.
