Talk. Write. You seem more articulate than many native-born English speakers. Just practice. Don’t worry about sounding dumb. After all, we’re not French.

Speak to your freinds and ask them for their help. Practice makes perfect.

Actually, you are better at the English language than a lot of people on here. Try online English courses… I saw a few advertisements online for some when I was visiting the UK.

Let me give you some advice. Start reading alot of books where the sentence structure is alot more complex than you are accustomed to reading, but not too complicated. Read english literature. You will find yourself using words and phrases that will suprise even yourself after 3-4 weeks.

Practice speaking in English, but the best way is to read a lot! Of coarse English ones. Reading will help you exercise your brain and you’ll get to be used to. If you’re not up to reading, the best way to enjoy it, is to read what you’re fond of. Good luck!

A decade ago to learn English, you had to attend costly English classes or purchase course material like tapes and books. Now you can learn English for free from the comfort of your home using the Internet. The BBC and the British Council offer a number of on line courses, which teach written and spoken English. You can also improve your English by watching television programs and reading English newspapers. For more information, visit

    English Learning Links

There are some excellent ESL websites about and there are some appalling ESL websites about.

Each week reviewers take a look at different sites across the spectrum of ESL and tell you what is worth visiting and what is worth avoiding.

    Good luck.
