Create a Civilian Assistance Corps (CAC): An Obama-Biden administration will set a goal of creating a national CAC of 25,000 personnel. This corps of civilian volunteers with special skill, sets (doctors, lawyers, engineers, city planners, agriculture specialists, police, etc.) would be organized to provide each federal agency with a pool of volunteer experts willing to deploy in times of need at home and abroad.
I was wondering if someone could further explain what this means.

Also is this the Citizen military or whatever people call it, that Obama proposed. I
I heard he wanted to make a citizen military that is as strong as the military. I do not agree with this at all. This means normal citizens could easily overthrow the government.
The thing that scares me about it is that is there was a citizen force as strong as the military, the citizens could overthrow the government, thus throwing us into a civil war.

your government should never be so big that the citizenry can’t take it back either thru elections or by force if necessary. and I don’t know what Obama has in mind for his corps,but through history it has lead to citizens spying on other citizens, kinda like a wing of the military that only he has control over, because there will be no congressional or judicial oversight of them. look up Hitlers Brown Shirts

It means start up yet another federally funded agency that will suck the blood out of the taxpayer’s pockets. If they need experts they have enough of them in a 100 different departments already.

We have the National Guard, we don’t NEED a paramilitary group running things here at home. The ONLY governments who have created such an organization were those who have used them to create a dictatorship (IE Hitler, Chavez, Castro, etc)
