    Ronald Reagan was called the Great Communicator. He also set clear goals to better the economy, and end the Cold War. He did both.

    Yes. But the last one died off years ago. I heard it was a heart attack from seeing the sorry state of society. We killed him (or her). I think….

    Most people today with those qualities avoid politics like the bubonic plague. Personally, I don’t blame them. If only they had taken me with them!!

    Jimmy Carter…

    It’s a myth that Reagan is the one that settled the whole Iran hostage crisis in 1979. Carter did it but unfortunately, Reagan got all the credit. In that one event, Carter portrayed communication skills, accountability, proved to be trustworthy, was analytical, and set a clear goal that was indeed reached.

    You have listed the idealistic characteristics of the most desirable politician. If we were to look for these qualities, our voting opportunity ended about half a century ago. These days we have to vote for the least harmful politician among the bunch of self-seeking thugs. Generally, women can be a better bet.
