I’d also say have a 30+ inch verticle, and hope you’re at least 6 ft tall.

First and foremost, you need athletic ability. More than speed, strength, etc. If you’re an athlete, you can be made into just about anything. A good 40 time is useless unless you can stay upright and pursue the ball carrier. That takes athletic ability. Start doing shuttle drills and the parachute run, and work out like a freak. That’s the only way to ensure success. Don’t get discouraged when the going gets hard. Also, you might watch the movie Facing the Giants. It is a good movie for motivation. I hope the best for you.
