DUDE first of u ROCK! I couldn’t agree more, i hate C. Ronaldo with a passion. Messi is a kick but player and he was way better then C. Ronaldo any day of the year, awesome post, you rock! Just for the record on your Henry comment, he is the player that i dislike 2nd most.

It’s no need to be discussed anymore, everybody knows that CR7 couldn’t perform in Big Fights. He won the award because he was lucky, not because of his talent.
I agree that Messi is much better than CR7 only less opportunities to scoring goals.

You seem to forget he scored against arsenal (in two seperate games) 2 against Everton, liverpool , and Roma. And just because he doesnt score doesn’t mean he doesn’t show up. It just goes to show no matter how much you do someone always wants more. Dont get me wrong I think Messi is brill but dont hate so much on someone who is obviously amazing.

First of all. Cristiano Ronaldo is better than Messi. Don’t get me wrong, I think Messi is a great player, just not as good as C. Ronaldo.
Secondly, You say he doesn’t score against the big clubs.. that’s bull.. and you know it. He has scored against many great clubs.
Third, When Cristiano is playing against the big clubs, he has sometimes three defenders covering him.. It’s obvious that he won’t score as many goals with so many defenders buggering him down all the time.
And lastly,
you should quit it with the ridiculous propaganda… most people have finally woken up to the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is in a league of his own. He rules. He will win player of the year award, and that my friend, is the jist of it!

i will answer each of your points.
Ronaldo dives significantly less than in the past but now suffers because of his previous reputation. Most of the time he is kicked and goes down because he struggles to stay on his feet afterwards, being over 6ft and all, unlike Messi who has a very low centre of gravity and can stay on his feet.
The english media represent ronaldo by the goals (something you don’t seem to value for whatever reason) he scores which is rare for a midfielder as they are usually praised for creativity, passing and assists. I believe being the top goalscorer in the premiership deserves positive press.
All of his goals are not from set pieces obviously, while may score a lot of penalties and free kicks he is nowhere near as consistent as other players such as Ronaldinho, Beckham or Juninho. If i had to make a bold statement like yours, i would say all of his goals come from headers or tap ins which is not true but is more accurate.
He scored a particularly good goal from outside the box against Everton which is great if all you care about is spectacular goals.
His skills are learned? obviously this is real football (soccer) not some nike advert, he doesn’t think up some stupid freestyle trick.
Messi did score a great goal yes. Ronaldo most definitely has the talent to do something similar but i doubt he would do it.
John O’Shea cannot do the same tricks as Ronaldo and neither can you. End of.
Do you know what catenaccio is? (obviosuly not) Do you know the typical scoreline of a catenaccio inspired game? (1-0 not 4-1 you fool) Do we have a sweeper? (no) Would a catenaccio team score 80 goals in a league season? (not unless Beckenbauer was the sweeper and couldn’t stop running) Are you most likely inappropriately using a stereotypical word for defense to describe the best defence in the league? (most likely)
You forgot to mention he scored against Liverpool,Arsenal and Roma within 3 weeks of each other. (oops)
He has never won the champions league yes, (2 weeks before he’s about to play in the final).
Are you somehow impying that an English title is not valuable? It is the most competitive league in Europe recently, we had 3 team in the Champions league semi finals remember.
Messi was given best player of the 2005 FIFA U20 tournament. At this point ronaldo had already earned himself part of the team of the year in the 2004 European Championships, which is obviously at senior level.
Yes messi may come 1 place above ronaldo in the world player of the year in 2007. but ronaldo is more than likely to win the award in 2008 according to most people in the game. we shall see.

not a utd fan are you?, ronaldo is a cracking player, his life has been football. he played with passion as a kid, he was and still is the only sporting player to play in the under 16s, 17s, 18s, B-team and the first team in 1 season. VIVA RONALDO
